Biography
Dr. David R. Greenwood Dept. of Biology Affiliate, Dept. of Geology, Brandon University is an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Science, Department of Geology, Brandon University. Brandon University is one of a very few predominantly undergraduate liberal arts and sciences institutions in Canada
Research Interest
He uses the fossil record of terrestrial plants (fossil leaves, pollen and spores) to reconstruct climates of the geological past, and the forest ecosystems they represent. I have received funding for my research from NSERC (2005-2008; 2009-2013; 2016-2020), Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), the province of Manitoba (MRIF), and from Brandon University (BURC; 2005-2006, 2009-2010; 2011-2012; 2014-2016; 2017-2018). I was previously funded by the Australian Research Council (1995; 1997; 1998-2000; 2001).
