Biography
As an educator,she enjoys working with professional students in the Degree Completion program at Douglas College. Their enthusiasm for ensuring evidence-informed practice happens in their work places is encouraging for my teaching practice regarding research. Also. Thes practitioners have taught me a lot about psychiatric nursing in the workplace. I am a Registered Nurse and I primarily practiced as a nurse educator in basic and baccalaureate nursing programs in Manitoba (Misericordia Hospital, Winnipeg), Saskatchewan (Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology, Saskatoon) and British Columbia (Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster and Douglas College, New Westminster). I spent a few years as a public health nurse in Winnipeg and Saskatoon and also as a Research Assistant with the UBC. Respiratory Clinic at VGH providing patient education to individuals with chronic respiratory disease.
