Dr. Katharine T. von Stackelberg is affiliated to Department of Classics, Brock University, where Dr. Katharine T. von Stackelberg is currently working as Associate Professor. Dr. Katharine T. von Stackelberg major research interest involves My work focuses on the ways in which gardens and landscapes have been used as vehicles of cultural communication, indoctrination and, on occasion, resistance through art, literature and material evidence. I am the author of The Roman Garden: Space, Sense and Society (Routledge, 2009) and am currently working on projects that study the reception of Graeco-Roman architecture and gardens in Europe and America. My teaching interests include Latin letters, the ancient economy, food and dining in the ancient world, and Roman history and historiography..
Research Interest
