Biography
Dr. Kenneth J. Klassen is a Professor of Operations Management. He holds a B.Admin. from Brock University, an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of Calgary. His work experience includes project management, banking, and he has served on the Board of Directors for variuos organizations in Canada and the US.
Research Interest
Dr. Klassen has published many journal articles and conference proceedings papers, and has been invited to speak at national and international conferences a number of times. This research covers topics such as demand and capacity management in services, outpatient appointment scheduling, parking and food capacity issues on a campus setting, web-log analysis, and pedagogical techniques. Journals include the Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Omega: The International Journal of Management Science, the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, the International Journal of Service Industry Management, the Journal of Information Technology Education, Health Care Management Science, and The Service Industries Journal.
