Biography

Dr. Sheila O’Keefe-McCarthy’s program of research is aimed at improving cardiac-related pain assessment and symptom management for people suffering from cardiovascular disease (CVD). Dr. O’Keefe-McCarthy’s research focuses on: 1) the development and testing of innovative, mobile digital health technology interventions for acute, chronic and palliative cardiovascular diseases, 2) examination of cardiac pain-related anxiety, and 3) examination of pre-hospital cardiac prodromal symptoms in men and women with CVD.
