Biography
Karl Johannson was appointed Chairman of the General Partner in March 2013. Mr. Johannson’s principal occupation is Executive Vice-President and President, Canada and Mexico Natural Gas Pipelines and Energy for TransCanada. He is accountable for the company’s natural gas pipelines and regulated natural gas storage business, as well as the profitability and growth of the Energy business, in both Canada and Mexico. Mr. Johannson joined TransCanada in 1990 and has over 20 years of experience in marketing and trading energy products in Canada and the U.S. Mr. Johannson holds a Master of Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business, an Arts degree from the University of Calgary, and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s General Management program.
