M. Alan Nethery

Biography

 Alan Nethery is vice president and chief investor relations officer for BWX Technologies, Inc. Prior to being appointed to this position in 2015, Mr. Nethery held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in various functional areas of the Company including Operations, Engineering, Accounting, Project Management and Information Technology. As director of Operational Excellence during the Company’s successful spin-off from McDermott International, Inc. in 2010, Mr. Nethery was responsible for the strategic leadership and global oversight of the Information Technology, Process Improvement and Central Supply Management functions. Mr. Nethery joined the Company in 1993 at the West Point, Miss. Manufacturing facility where he held various positions in Operations, Production Control, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, and Management, including ISO 9001 coordinator, plant controller and plant improvement manager. In February 2006, he was named manager of Risk Management for the Company. He also served as the director of Materials Management for the Company’s Nuclear Operations Group. In addition to his time with the Company, Mr. Nethery served as the executive director of the Center for Manufacturing Technology Excellence. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Business Administration, both from Mississippi State University. He is an advisory board member for both a privately held technology company in Charlotte and the MBA program at Mississippi State University.
