Biography
Dr. Price has more than 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Recently, he co-founded Biogenin, a Mexican company that licenses, develops and registers human and veterinary products for Latin American markets. He is also the Ben J. Rogers Chair in Entrepreneurism of the College of Business at Lamar University (Beaumont, Texas). Dr. Price has been CEO of five biotechnology start-ups and has held senior management positions at Cardinal Health and Ortho Diagnostic Systems (a Johnson & Johnson company). He has served as Board Chair of the Virginia Biotechnology Association and Maryland’s counterpart, MdBIO. He currently sits on the board of directors of four companies and chairs the Advisory Board for the Professional Science Management Program in Bioinformatics at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, Virginia). He holds the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biophysics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and is the author of more than 50 articles in the scientific and business literature. Dr. Price served as CEO of GalenBio, Inc. from 2007 to 2012 and was a principle at Falcon Ridge Associates, Inc. from 2005 to 2013. He has been President and Director of Biogenin SAPI de CV since 2012 and has and has been a Director and Executive Vice president of Nascent Biotech, Inc. since 2014.
