Biography
Joe Parish is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology. He received his BA (Honours) from McMaster University, his MA from the University of Western Ontario and his PhD from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Parish’s primary area of interest is the impact of socio-cultural factors on disease and epidemic experiences on Cape Breton Island during the 18th and 19th centuries through the use of skeletal biology and ethnohistory
