Biography
Nathaniel Leach is Associate Professor of English. He received his BA from Wilfrid Laurier University and his MA and Ph.D. from Western University. He has published on Romantic authors such as Byron, Friedrich Schiller, Alessandro Manzoni, Joanna Baillie, Mary Shelley, Charles Maturin, Elizabeth Inchbald and Thomas Lovell Beddoes. His work has appeared in journals such as Studies in Romanticism, European Romantic Review and Gothic Studies, and he has received “best article” prizes from European Romantic Review (2011) and the Byron Society of America (2007). He is currently working on a project concerned with performance and identity on the Romantic stage. He teaches courses on the poetry, prose and drama of the nineteenth century, as well as on film and literary theory.
