Biography
Blake has over 15 years experience in the Adventure Tourism Industry including more than 10 years as an Outdoor Recreation Business Owner/ Operator. After five years of teaching high school, Blake completed a masters’ at the University of Northern British Columbia in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies with a Tourism Focus. Blake’s masters’ thesis on mountain bike tourism development, investigated the destination attributes that draw mountain bike tourists to specific destinations. Blake was a semi-professional wakeboarder, but now prefers to spend his time in the mountains exploring on a mountain bike or skis. In addition to teaching, Blake trains new coaches across Canada in a variety of sports. Blake also coaches Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding, Mountain Biking and a variety of Towed Water Sports.
