Charlene Hill

Biography

Charlene comes from a long line of entrepreneurs. She has owned and operated her own retail business on the North Shore as well as being an Operations Manager and Retail buyer for other businesses. When time allows she still does retail consulting in the fields of Visual Marketing, Retail Buying and Operations Management. Charlene started at Capilano University 16 years ago as an instructor and has since held many administrative and curricular development positions. She is presently Chair of the School of Business. Charlene co-developed the boutique Retail Marketing Certificate Program in 1993. Charlene has been a curriculum developer for the University in various programs, including those in Dalian, China and Beirut, Lebanon. Most recently she has been instrumental in launching a new Festivals and Special Event certificate program at the Squamish campus. Her love however, is teaching and enabling others to teach. Charlene brings an enthusiastic and optimistic approach to her job as Chair concentrating on what is really important to her - the Students and their business education.
