Biography
Eunice has always enjoyed biology and being around animals. After obtaining an undergraduate degree in animal physiology from Simon Fraser, she moved to UBC to complete a masters in zoology. Then, craving a new adventure, she moved out to Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario to complete a PhD in evolutionary and ecological physiology. Eunice’s research has focused primarily on sex differences in physiology, primarily in birds. Most recently for her PhD, she focused on the long-term effects of developmental environment on adult physiology in birds. For her post-doctoral research, she applied similar research concepts in a health setting, looking at developmental programming effects of maternal diet on offspring physiology at adulthood in mice.
