Biography
George Nikolov is an economist who has an extensive experience in the fields of quantitative methods and information technology. He has worked in the academic and public sectors as a system analyst, researcher, and instructor. He teaches a variety of information technology and quantitative methods courses in the School of Business and the Schools of Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Management at Capilano University. George holds a university degree in economics (MSc equivallent) from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of London, UK. When not at school teaching or at home marking, George takes every opportunity to be with his family or spend time in the open air. He enjoys skiing, running, and walking. George has an eye for art too and has designed the logos of the Institute of Agricultural Economics, Sofia and the Capilano University Faculty Association. Last but not least, he is very passionate about protecting the environment and his motto is: “the greener the merrier”.
