Biography
Joe has 15 years of professional experience in transportation and tourism and is well versed in climate change issues and strategies. As one of Canada’s leading experts on tourism and climate change, Joe has designed greenhouse gas inventories, carbon management plans and carbon offset programs for dozens of private and public sector clients. Joe teaches courses on environmental and climate stewardship at Capilano University, he has authored numerous articles, and he has presented at conferences around the world. In 2008, Joe was awarded the Charles R. Goeldner Article of Excellence Award by the Travel and Tourism Research Association. Joe holds a PhD in Resource and Environmental Management. Joe is a founding partner of Gobi Carbon Management Solutions, which provides web-based carbon management software for business. He is also the founder of Project Change, a provincial competition enabling BC tourism students to become leaders and agents for positive environmental and social change.
