Biography
Mary Giovannetti teaches organizational behaviour and intercultural business courses at Capilano University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at Simon Fraser University; her research interest is in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Mary has been instrumental in developing and leading Faculty Learning Communities (FLC) at Capilano University. An FLC is a small group of instructors from a variety of disciplines who interact on an ongoing basis to deepen their knowledge and expertise in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Mary holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instructional Design from Simon Fraser University, and an Education degree in business from Mount Saint Vincent University. Mary has held a variety of leadership positions at Capilano University, has led executive training workshops in Canada, and has worked as an educational consultant in Canada and abroad.
