Sharka Stuyt

Biography

Sharka has an Executive MBA, is a Certified Executive Coach and has 15 years of international business experience in the high tech industry. She has  been an instructor in the School of Business at Capilano University for thirteen years. She also developed and launched Capilano U's first joint Master's program in International Business and teaches in the Global Stewardship program. She is a group facilitator, leadership trainer and motivational speaker who works with individuals and organizations to help them realize their goals and vision. She operates her own business - Inspiro Services Inc. and has played an instrumental role in helping many people and groups achieve their desires and aspirations.  Sharka was selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 business people in British Columbia by Business in Vancouver Magazine and was selected a finalist in the 20 Most Influential Women in British Columbia in December 2000. Sharka is also a Coaching Clinic licensed facilitator. Sharka has completed studies at Vancouver Counselling College and is a member of the Canadian Counselling Association. Sharka is also a guest speaker at many industry events and has taken a leadership position in initiating corporate social responsibility in British Columbia. She was on the Board of Directors of the North Shore Family Services for a number of years and is currently on the board of the Elements Society. Sharka was instrumental in founding the BC Social Venture Partners, a British Columbia based not-for-profit which funds and supports numerous not-for-profits in BC.  She was a Director of the BC Technology Industry Association for seven years and was previously on the Board of Directors of the York Technologies Industry Association, an Ontario based group whose member companies represent nearly 80% of the High-Technology revenues in all of Canada.
