Sue Hogan

Biography

Sue Hogan teaches accounting and financial courses in both the Faculty of Tourism and Outdoor Recreation and the Faculty of Business. Sue is a University senator, and has been involved in a number of Faculty and University committees and activities such as the University Grading Profile, Scheduling, and Faculty Structure Committees, and the TREC Long Range Planning, Curriculum, and Professional Development Committees.  Before moving to British Columbia in 1999, Sue was an Accounting Professor in the School of Business at Centennial College in Toronto. Prior to that, Sue worked in various business management positions. She articled with Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) and received her Chartered Accountant designation through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.  Sue's experience as an accountant, combined with her many years of teaching experience and passion for travel and the outdoors, allows her to make course material practical for her students so they can understand the importance of fiscal management. Sue enjoys encountering a tourism grad who is now in the workforce who says "I didn't realize how much I was going to need this accounting and numbers stuff!"
