Biography
Susan has over 22 years of experience in the IT Industry, including a variety of industrial sectors such as Telecommunications, Utilities, Oil and Gas, Finance, Banking and Trade having worked in Canada, USA, UK and the Caribbean. She currently teaches Business Information Systems, Management of Information Systems and Project Management at Capilano University, School of Business. As well, Susan is a sessional instructor in Business Information Systems at Fraser International College (FIC) - Simon Fraser University. Susan is also an Independent Management Information Systems Consultant. Prior to Capilano University, Susan was a Principal Platform Strategist with Microsoft Canada. She undertaken Business and Technical Management, as well as SME, lead roles for several GIS, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Architecture and Data Warehousing projects. She holds a post graduate Certificate in Executive Management Program (EMP), from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Science Degree in Geographic & Geodetic Information Systems from University College London, England. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Major) & Botany-Environmental Science and Ecology (Minor) from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad. Susan has also recently been a visiting Lecturer for two semesters on 'Strategic Business Intelligence' and 'The Business value of IT' at Simon Fraser University's, Beedie School of Business, Surrey and Burnaby Campuses, British Columbia.
