Biography
Dr. Alexander M. Jablonski is currently the Project Manager, Assembly Integration and Testing (AIT) Development, at David Florida Laboratory (DFL) of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) in Ottawa. He received BSc & MS (civil engineering – structures) from the Technical University of Cracow, Poland (1970), MS (mechanics and materials engineering.) from the University of Illinois at Chicago (1982) and PhD (structural dynamics) from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada (1989). He has almost 40 years of experience in various fields of engineering, reconnaissance projects, project management and strategy planning. He worked in Poland, Finland, Norway, Germany, and in the USA. Since 1982, he has been working in Canada (at NRC, DRDC and CSA). He is the author and co-author of more than 50 projects of built structures for various industries, and over 115 publications in the areas of space dynamics, structural mechanics and space technologies including AIT aspects. He has participated in the development of space missions and design of space experiments since 1992 and also in the development of the third Long-Term Space Plan for Canada. Dr. A. M. Jablonski is Associate Fellow of AIAA and CASI. He is now Adjunct Research Professor at MAE at Carleton University. He has lectured graduate courses in FEM Analysis and Advanced Vibration Analysis at this Department since 1999. He co-supervised Master’s students and acted as External Examiner for a number of M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (PEO), member of several professional committees including AIAA TC on Space Tethers and CSA committees, councillor of the CASI Council, and a member of editorial boards of Canadian Aeronautics and Space Journal (CASJ) and the International J. of Space Science and Engineering
