Biography
Andrew Brook is Chancellor’s Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science and former Director of the Institute of Cognitive Science (ICS) at Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K1S 5B6. ICS administers a four-year undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science and Canada’s only free-standing, fully integrated Masters and Ph.D. in Cognitive Science. The ICS website contains further information and links to a selection of cognitive science sites. Brook has two degrees from the University of Alberta and a D. Phil. from Oxford University. He is a former President of the Canadian Philosophical Association and current President of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society.
