Biography
As Associate Dean (Student Affairs), I am responsible for students in the BA Undeclared program, First-Year Seminars, and recruitment. I also deal with Academic Integrity Offences. In 2015-16, I was the Interim Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and from 2009-2014, I was the Chair of the Department of French. My home department is French, teaching courses in Francophone and Québécois literatures. I am also cross-appointed to the School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies and the Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Culture. I have an interest in the transnational and transcultural literature, including migrant writing. I am one of the co-founders of the Centre for Transnational Cultural Analysis. My book, Tours et détours: Le mythe de Babel dans la littérature contemporaine, was published in 2012 by the University of Ottawa Press.
