Research Interest
My academic research has focussed on the social and economic history of medieval and Early Modern Europe, with particular emphasis on the relationship between cities and the surrounding countryside, and on the environmental impact of this relationship. I have also published several translations from German of articles about medieval and Early Modern Europe.
