Biography
Darrell is a tenured instructor in accounting. He teaches undergraduate and Masters level courses. Darrell has received numerous teaching awards. He is the co-author of the market-leading advanced financial accounting textbook in Canada and author of other teaching supplements. He has taught at Queen’s, Waterloo, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Athabasca. Darrell has consulted extensively in the area of accounting education and taught for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO) and Certified General Accountants Association of Canada. He recently served on the Board for the ICAO. Prior to teaching, Darrell worked in public practice with Ernst and Young for a number of years. Darrell’s academic interests focus on emerging issues in financial accounting and pedagogical approaches to teaching.
