Biography
I am an educational strategy policy analyst with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, with expertise and a research focus on fatigue risk management for residency education. I work with multiple stakeholders from across the medical education continuum to address issues specific to the safety and wellbeing of physicians in training, in addition to the ever evolving policy issues and initiatives employed to improve the training of medical professionals in Canada. I have a B.Sc. in Biology from Trent University with a specialization in health science, and received my M.Sc. from Carleton University in the Department of Health: Science, Technology and Policy. My capstone research thesis focused on the experiences and challenges facing informal caregivers living in a rural Canadian setting.
Research Interest
My research interests include healthy aging and exercise physiology. In a former life, I practiced as a physiotherapy assistant for more than 5 years in both private clinics and in long term care facility settings.
