Biography
Dr. Tiago S. Hori is the Associated Director of Genomics at the Center for Aquaculture Technologies. Dr. Hori holds a B.Sc in Biology, a M.Sc in Genetics and Biochemistry and a Ph.D in Biology. Dr. Hori work focuses on understanding the architecture of traits relevant to the aquaculture industry. His research has included the use of both functional and structural genomics to investigated the molecular mechanisms driving such traits. Dr. Hori has extensive experience in the use of microarrays, RNA-seq, high and medium density genotyping and QPCR as well as the bioinformatic pipelines required to analyze genomic data. To date Dr. Hori has published over 25 scientific articles in high-impact peer reviewed journals such as BMC Genomics, Physiological Genomics, Aquaculture and Molecular Immunology.
