Biography
Marc Pilon graduated from Polytechnique in 1986. Early in his career, he worked in the fields of project management for the petrochemical industry and plant maintenance. He worked many years for a consulting firm in energy savings and building mechanical system design. He specializes in failure analysis of building systems such as plumbing, fire protection, heating, ventilation and air conditionning systems. As a forensic engineer, Marc carries out on-site accident investigations and prepares expert reports. During his years as forensic engineer, he has conducted laboratory tests and simulations to verify hypotheses on the nature and cause of accidents. He has carried out over 600 investigations and has been recognized as an expert witness in numerous court cases.
