Biography
Raul Toca joined CEP's Laval Civil Engineering team in May 2016. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, as well as a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Before joining CEP, Raul worked as a Structural Engineer for several engineering consulting firms in the Dominican Republic, the United States, and in Quebec. He has extensive experience in the analysis and design of a wide variety of structures in reinforced concrete, steel, wood, and reinforced masonry. As a forensic engineer, Raul conducts site investigations and prepares technical evaluation reports. He also ensures compliance of elements with standards and good practices. When necessary, he performs laboratory tests, and structural modelling to validate his hypotheses on the nature and the cause of damage.
