Biography
Stéphane Munger obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sherbrooke University in 2002. He started his career in electromechanical and building HVAC design for an engineering consulting firm in Toronto. He then joined a facility management company where he acquired a solid experience in HVAC, plumbing, controls and fire protection, acting as project manager for various large commercial buildings in Montreal. Later, he worked at Place Ville-Marie as electromechanical supervisor, overseeing maintenance and operational optimization of building mechanical systems. More recently, he acted as site verification team leader for the Quebec electrical energy efficiency grant program. Finally, he founded an engineering consulting firm specializing in elaborating and implementing modernization and optimization plans for building mechanical systems. As a Forensic Engineer for CEP, Stéphane now analyzes cases of component failure, deficient operation and non-conformity with regards to building mechanical systems. He validates his hypotheses by reviewing applicable codes and relevant technical literature, in addition to performing laboratory tests and simulations, with the objective of writing technical reports identifying the nature and cause of the incidents he investigates.
