Biography
Dr. Patel has over 6 years of experience in modeling and simulation, and pharmacology, and is currently a pharmacometrician at Certara (formerly d3 Medicine in Australia). During his PhD, Kashyap characterized the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a novel anticancer prodrug, in a representative three-dimensional tumor model. Since then, Dr. Patel has worked in the area of anti-infective pharmacology, and has developed mechanism-based models for antiviral and antimalarial drugs. Kashyap’s current research focuses on the mathematical modeling of respiratory viruses, by simultaneously considering the viral life-cycle, drug effects and disease symptoms.
