Biography
Dominic A. Dannessa is Executive Vice President, Chief Operations and Innovation Officer. He also oversees USG’s Corporate Innovation Center in Libertyville, Ill. Dannessa holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University. His previous assignments include vice president, Global Supply Chain, Information Technology and Corporate Efficiency Initiatives; executive vice president, Manufacturing, Building Systems; senior vice president, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management and Information Technology; senior vice president, Manufacturing, Ceilings and Supply Chain Management, Building Systems. Dannessa joined United States Gypsum Company in 1978. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of USG Boral Building Products and Gypsum Engineering Company. Dom is active in the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and the Naval War College, and is a past participant of the Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies and a past Board member of the Industrial Research Institute.
