Biography
Richard P. Lavin served as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. from May 2013 until November 2015. He had previously served as Group President of Caterpillar Inc. until his retirement in December 2012, after having worked for Caterpillar for nearly 29 years. Mr. Lavin is a director of ITT Corporation and Allison Transmission Holdings, Inc. He has been a director since November 2009 and is Chair of the Board’s Compensation and Organization Committee and a member of its Finance Committee.
