Feras Alonaizan

Biography

Feras is like a one man Riyadh welcoming committee. A proud Saudi national and equally enthusiastic CH2Mer, he loves helping expatriates adjust to their new role and country, enabling them to walk away from the office with everything that they need to be successful in their surroundings from the start. Feras joined CH2M in 2013. He initially worked on the Riyadh Metro Project, an exciting effort to bring the first complete transportation system to the city. In his current role as Program Support Manager, Feras assists all projects across the Kingdom by coordinating crucial, logistical details, such as housing, transportation and phones. He also manages Riyadh office staff, and acts as the Saudi-client-facing representative during the business development process. Feras says that the best part of his role is what – and who – he represents for newcomers. “I’m not only the face of CH2M for new teammates in Riyadh, I’m also the face of my country. When someone joins us from Asia, from the US, from Europe, I know that I’m their first impression of this place. It’s my country. I want people to really know who we are.” He mentions, “CH2M is a multicultural organization. So many of my non-CH2M colleagues work in government-related companies and organizations, and they have no chance to see and work closely with other cultures. I love that I get to engage with people from across the world every single day. And Saudi Arabia is a growing country.We have lots of great projects here, and lots of exciting work still needs to be done.” Supporting others and helping them through challenging transitions drive Feras’ work, and it’s why we’re especially proud to have him as part of the CH2M family.
