Biography

Greg Fischer plays a vital role in making sure that CH2M’s design-build-operate services contribute to the success of our clients, our staff and our passion to transform challenge into opportunity to lay the foundation for human progress. Pima County’s unprecedented success on the state-of-the-art Agua Nueva Water Reclamation Facility says it all. With 11 industry awards and counting, Greg played a vital role in leading our integrated client and design, build, operations (DBO) team to deliver major breakthroughs in innovative DBO project delivery and water reclamation. He says the best part of the job was forging a strong partnership with the client and the CH2M delivery team, working together every step of the way to resolve challenges and seek out opportunities to add value to the project. Greg explains, “Only CH2M offers our clients a truly integrated one-stop shop for DBO services. You can walk onto our projects and you cannot tell me who is from engineering, construction, operations or outside consulting and contracting firms. We promote a culture of teamwork and each and every person buys into that. It’s truly a wonderful thing to see. At the end of the day, it’s all about the people. If you don’t have them, you won’t have success.” And Greg’s commitment to his staff is unyielding. When asked about his proudest moment, he exclaims: “The moment you have a client look at you and say ‘thanks for your hard work,’ I look forward to sharing that with my teams, letting them know that our accolades are because of their hard work... that is all that matters. The moment you wake up and say ‘ugh, I have to go to work’ is the day you may have lost your passion. The teams I get to work with everyday clearly have never said those words…truly amazing! They say you don’t work for the firm, you work for the people that run that firm, and that could not be more true here at CH2M and for me personally.”
