Biography
As lead architect for U.S. projects delivered from Krakow, Rob Huserik not only leads documentation, but also advocates for effective collaboration and communication with our U.S. offices. Working with project teams on the other side of the globe is both exciting and challenging. We have to work collaboratively and effectively communicate across continents to do great work for our clients. Our work has no borders, we may be working on a project in North Carolina one month and in Saudi Arabia another. Our diverse project teams allow us to build on the strengths and experiences of multiple offices. As an American architect, Rob shares his background and experience with his Polish colleagues. He recently led 24 hours of training for our multi-disciplinary team. The training was an introduction to U.S. standards in construction documentation and covered topics from conditions of the contract for construction to the standard U.S. format for organizing specifications. With his passion for supporting development of other people Rob also chairs JuMP Poland, CH2M’s employee network that provides professional development opportunities for junior and mid-level professionals. Rob has more than seven years of experience in the hospitality design industry, working on large hotel/casino resort projects with Hnedak Bobo Group in Memphis, TN. He moved to Krakow from the U.S. with his wife and son in 2010 and joined our Global Design Center in 2014. He shares, “I am most proud to be living a dream here in Krakow. From my first visit as an exchange student in 2002, this city found a special place in my heart. The historic city center is so beautiful it’s hard to believe that I actually live in such a place. The people in Poland are fantastic, so warm and hospitable. It gives me a great feeling that I can work with our U.S. offices and promote our Krakow office as a Global Design Center.”
