Biography
Brent has been the President of Chartwell since April 2008 and was appointed President and CEO on May 1, 2009. Brent was Executive Vice President of Chartwell from November 2003 to April 2008, following the REIT’s Initial Public Offering (IPO). He has over 30 years of experience in the seniors housing sector. Prior to joining Chartwell, Brent was President and CEO of JBG Management Inc., a family business which owned and operated three long term care homes and two retirement homes in Ontario. The homes were sold to Chartwell as part of its IPO. Brent is a past President of the Ontario Long Term Care Association and a past Vice President of the Ontario Residential Care Association. He holds an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School and practiced law early in his career.
