Biography
Paul Labute has been CEO of Chemical Computing Group (CCG) since its foundation in the mid-1990s. He was one of the originators of Scientific Vector Language (SVL), the platform on which the company’s software systems, MOE and PSILO, are constructed, and despite his role at the head of a growing company – CCG is now one of the leading providers of drug discovery software applications to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, and to academia – Paul still spends much of his time developing new applications. He will be describing one such new application, for mapping putative water positions and desolvation binding penalties within a protein-ligand complex, at this conference.
