Biography
Mr. Guy R. Adam was General Manager of Quebec at Newalta Inc. (formerly for Newalta Income Fund) since 2008. Mr. Adam served as Vice President of Clean Harbors Canada, Inc. He joined Newalta Income Fund in 2006 to expand business into eastern Canada and to oversee operations in Quebec. He previously served as Vice President of Canadian Operations at Clean Harbors Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Clean Harbors Inc. He joined Clean Harbors Canada, Inc. in 2002. From 1980 to 2002, Mr. Adam held a variety of waste management operation positions with Safety-Kleen Corp. and predecessor companies including Facility Manager, Regional Director and Vice President for Eastern Canada. From 1974 to 1980, Mr. Adam held various process engineering and management positions for the ICI group of companies in Canada. He has also held management positions with CIL, Tricil Ltd. and Laidlaw Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience and market knowledge in the industrial waste management business to Newalta. He serves on the Board of the CESE and a member of the CPEQ which are the two primary associations representing the environmental management industry in Quebec. Mr. Adam holds a Chemical Engineering Degree and a Management Diploma from the University of Montreal.
