Biography
Dr. Ting is on the operations team at Commense and is an Associate at PureTech. Previously, Dr. Ting managed the strategic alliance and logistics operations at the biotech startup Athletigen Technologies Inc. Dr. Ting also managed the Human Interactome Project - a high-throughput cell biology initiative to extensively map protein-protein interactions in the human cell. This work was jointly lead by Drs. J. Wade Harper and Steven Gygi at Harvard Medical School. In her postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard, Dr. Ting investigated protein misfolding in neurodegenerative disease and developed mass spectrometry-based technology that was commercialized by Thermo Fisher and is the foundation of their current mass spectrometer on the market. In her PhD at the University of New South Wales in Sydney Australia, Dr. Ting used proteomics to study marine microbial ecology. Dr. Ting received her B.S. in Medical Microbiology and Immunology also from the University of New South Wales. She has published her work in journals including Cell and Nature Methods.
