Biography
Tom is a professional engineer with 16 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry across basins in Western Canada and the United States. Prior to co-founding Caltex Resources Ltd., Tom co-founded Caltex Energy Inc. and as President & CEO led its growth through the drill-bit and acquisitions from start-up to production levels greater than 11,500 boe/day when the company was sold to Crew Energy Inc. in July 2011. Prior to Caltex, he was co-founder and Sr. Vice President Natural Gas of Krang Energy Inc., a private start-up where he was responsible for all aspects of strategy and execution for the gas business and was instrumental in the growth of the company's production from start-up to 5,000 boe/day prior to its sale to Viking Energy Trust in 2005. Previously, he had various technical and management roles with Burlington Resources in Calgary and Midland, Texas. Tom received Bachelor of Science Degrees in Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1996. Tom is currently a director of privately held Compass Well Services, a Texas-based pressure pumping company and was a former board member of Corinthian Exploration Corp. prior to its sale to Legacy Oil + Gas in 2014.
