Biography
Rajiv joined CPL in 2010 to build and lead teams of product and process development scientists. He is responsible for providing turnkey solutions for new product development through commercialization. Prior to joining CPL, Rajiv worked in various capacities at IGI Laboratories, Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical Technologies Services, Ranbaxy Laboratories, and Hoechst Pharmaceuticals. He has more than 30 years of experience with topical and liquid products in the pharmaceutical industry. At IGI, Rajiv headed the company as president and chief operating officer and served as board director from 2005–2009. As vice president of skin care at Cardinal Health, Rajiv was responsible for product development and manufacturing operations at multiple sites for the topical products business unit. Rajiv holds a degree in pharmaceutical science and an MBA. He is the inventor and co-inventor of several lipid-based encapsulation technologies, cross-linked absorbent gels, and application patents, including 23 issued U.S. patents and several corresponding international patents.
