Dr. ALEX SPEED academic career is decorated with several reputed awards and funding. Dr. ALEX SPEED research interests include Research in the Speed group will focus on synthesis and catalysis mediated by complexes of heavier main group elements. Focused transformations involve activation of small molecules, followed by the addition of the activated molecule to unsaturated functional groups. Targeted transformations will either increase the generality and efficiency of known transformations, or develop new chemistry to explore previously underexplored chemical structures. Methodology developed will be challenged by the synthesis of molecules of interest to a variety of fields..
