Biography

Dr. Filiaggi, Mark is affiliated to Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University. Dr. Filiaggi, Mark is currently providing services as Assistant Professor, PhD. Dr. Filiaggi, Mark has authored I145and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented works at many national and International conferences. Dr. Filiaggi, Mark contributions have acclaimed recognition from honourable subject experts around the world. Dr. Filiaggi, Mark is actively associated with different societies and academies. Dr. Filiaggi, Mark academic career is decorated with several reputed awards and funding. Dr. Filiaggi, Mark research interests include My core research program focuses primarily on biomaterials and implants, with an emphasis on novel calcium phosphate processing approaches that facilitate localized delivery of therapeutic agents, and on surface modification strategies to enhance the osteopromotive and antimicrobial properties of metallic implants. For these studies I maintain active collaborations with both the basic science (Chemistry, Physics) and clinical (orthopaedics, intervention radiology) communities. These interests have been complemented by my involvement in provincially-based population health studies focused on oral health assessments and links to the overall health and well being of potentially marginalized or underserved populations..

Research Interest
