Biography
Aurélie Caldwell holds degrees in philosophy from Université Laval, in music from the Conservatoire de musique du Québec and in education from Bishop’s University. She taught English (second language and literature) for some twenty years. It was during a sabbatical leave that she discovered theology and immediately fell in love with it. She resigned from her position and since 1996 has devoted herself entirely to the discipline. As soon as she obtained her master’s degree, she was invited to join the Faculty as lecturer. She gave courses in both English and French on the Trinity, ancient christology, biblical and theological anthropology, the Church, Eucharist and prayer. Meanwhile she worked on a thesis doctorate, submitted in January 2014, under the title Paul, misogyne ou promoteur de l’émancipation féminine? Une étude de 1 Corinthiens 11, 2-16.
