Naseem Somani

Biography

"Naseem began her laboratory industry career in 1987 with Park-Med Laboratories where she served as Controller. Prior to this she worked for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. In 1991 Park-Med was acquired by Dynacare and Naseem was named Director of Finance. She later became Vice-President of Operations and General Manager of the Central Ontario Division. In 1996 she led the consolidation of the Dynacare Brampton Division with North Peel Laboratory, which created the largest laboratory of its kind in Ontario. Since becoming CEO in 2005, Naseem has led the Dynacare expansion into Quebec, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Naseem is a Chartered Accountant who holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance degree from the University of Toronto. She is also a past chair of the Ontario Association of Medical Laboratories (OAML) where she continues to serve as a Board Member and Director. In 2001, Naseem was named Professional Woman of the Year by the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce an award which recognized the exceptional accomplishments and positive impact on she has had on her business, her community and society in general. "
