David J. Angell

Biography

 David is responsible for the global operations of all units. His responsibilities include creating a seamless operational platform across the group, improving efficiencies and asset utilization, lean manufacturing, and ensuring best practices are maintained globally. Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, David served as our Executive Vice President in Asia. While in this position, he drove significant organic growth that included expansions of facilities in Shanghai, Singapore, and Malaysia. This growth also resulted in three new facilities opening over the course of five years – Dongguan, China in 2009, Suzhou, China in 2012, and Batam, Indonesia in 2013. David joined Dynacast in 1993 as a management trainee, after graduating with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Birmingham. He spent two years in the UK before moving to the US, gaining experience in all aspects of the business. He was made General Manager of Dynacast Lake Forest in 1999. David moved to Spartanburg, SC in 2000 and was also responsible for facilities in Texas and Mexico before moving to Singapore in 2003.
