Biography
Sheriff Babu is the Executive Vice President of Asia where he is actively working to grow Dynacast’s share of the market in this region. Sheriff has enjoyed a long and varied career with Dynacast, beginning back in 1985 when he joined the parent company of Dynacast – Coats UK – as a Management Trainee. He was then transferred to Dynacast UK, soon after his training in Coats India. After gaining experience in the UK market for 2 years, Sheriff moved to Dynacast Singapore in 1990 as a Sales Engineer. In 1996 Sheriff became the first Operational Manager of Dynacast Melaka where he was instrumental in setting up the Melaka plant. Sheriff was then promoted to General Manager of Dynacast Singapore and Dynacast Melaka in 2000. Under his management and guidance both Singapore and Melaka grew significantly and Dynacast expanded into Indonesia in 2009. Prior to his appointment as EVP of Asia, Sheriff was the Director and General Manager for Dynacast Singapore, Dynacast Malaysia and Dynacast Indonesia. Sheriff graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering and a Master degree in Industrial Management from IIT – Madras. Sheriff also holds an Executive MBA from the National University of Singapore.
