Biography

I am a consulting hydrogeologist with 38 years professional experience in geoscience and nearly 32 years experience managing surface water and groundwater resources, contaminated sites, and doing environmental audits and assessments. I have been in private practice for 25 years, most recently specializing in water resource assessment, development and protection, including: physical watershed studies, surface water hydrology, reservoir characterization and flood mapping, groundwater hydrology, water chemistry, GIS mapping and modelling, and water supply project management, including water resource planning, development, permitting, and protection. While working for other consulting firms and in my early years in private practice, I gained over 12 years experience designing, conducting, directing and reviewing contaminated site soil and groundwater assessments, site remedial activities, environmental impact assessments, and environmental compliance and management audits. My very early years practising geoscience included mineral exploration, oil and gas exploration, and research and development of computerized sorting equipment for the mining industry.
