Biography
Ken Cella shares responsibility for the Branch Development division, which grows the firm and enables branch teams to deliver an ideal client experience. The departments in Branch Development include: Financial Advisor Talent Acquisition, Branch Training, BOA Talent Acquisition and Performance, Branch Insights, Learning and Support, Branch and Region Development, Market Opportunity Strategy and Branch Administration. Cella began his Edward Jones career in 1990 and became a financial advisor in O’Fallon, Mo., in 1993. He qualified three times for the Managing Partner’s Conference, an honor reserved for the firm’s top financial advisors. In 2002, Cella was named a principal and relocated to the firm’s St. Louis headquarters, where he was responsible for growing the Edward Jones Trust Company. In 2006, Cella assumed responsibility for the mutual fund area in the Client Strategies Group. In 2008, his responsibilities expanded to include mutual funds, insurance, banking and advisory products. From 2012 to July 2014, he was responsible for the Branch Training department. In July 2014, Cella assumed shared responsibility for the Branch Development division, where he remains today. Cella is a member of the firm’s Executive and Management Committees and is the senior executive sponsor for the Inclusion Council and the Hispanic Business Resource Group. He is an active member of the St. Louis community and serves on the St. Louis Regional Chamber Executive Committee, the St. Louis Science Center Board of Trustees, the UMSL Chancellor’s Council, and the Family Resource Center Governance Board. A native of St. Louis, Cella earned a degree in marketing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s Securities Industry Institute.
