Biography
Kevin Bastien is the chief financial officer for Edward Jones, responsible for the Finance and Human Resources divisions and Firm Planning. He is a member of the firm’s Management and Executive committees. Bastien started his Edward Jones career in 1996 as a director in Finance and was named a principal in 1998. Initially, he was responsible for the firm’s tax function and partnership capital areas. He then assumed additional responsibilities within Finance, including overall finance support for International Operations and the Sourcing Area, which negotiates all firm financial commitments. In 2009, his responsibilities were expanded, and he became the firm’s chief financial officer. In 2015, Bastien helped update the firm’s five-year strategic plan and assumed responsibility for Firm Planning in addition to leading the Finance division. In 2016, he assumed responsibility for the Human Resources division. Prior to joining Edward Jones, Bastien spent nearly nine years with Price Waterhouse. There he was a senior manager in the tax area, responsible for the overall Edward Jones relationship, as well as those with other large corporate clients. Bastien graduated from Southern Illinois UniversityCarbondale with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. He serves on the board of directors of SIU’s School of Accountancy and as a board member for Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis Inc. He is also a licensed CPA in Missouri and Illinois.
